Who
Will Benefit from Joining This Circle
This is a wonderful forum for people who are new to meditation
and need help beginning their practice. This is also a chance
for those who have tried to meditate in the past but were
unsuccessful. There will be many tips shared specifically
for overcoming your meditation challenges, including learning
how you process information (auditorily, visually or kinesthetically).
This is also a place for those who have had a long time Eastern
style meditation practice and wish to learn Western style
techniques, including past-life recall.
Sarah’s
Meditation Circle is a wonderful opportunity for parents who
wish to use meditation to bring more peace to their family
life. As a parent and parent educator I have much to offer
my fellow parents in this regard, however this circle is by
no means limited to parents and those who work with children.
Anyone interested in basic meditation instruction will highly
benefit from their time spent. With these uncertain economic
times, this is an assured QUALITY investment!
This
circle is open to men and woman. Although I often work with
children, this circle is for adults, eighteen and older.
Sarah’s meditation techniques have completely allowed me to focus on my inner strengths and become whole again. Kate Duinkerken, Asheville

What
will we be discussing and practicing in this circle?
The first four meetings will focus on grounding.
This includes moving energy through our subtle bodies, which
creates the space for a sturdy connection to the earth. Grounding
helps us feel calm in our bodies and therefore powerful in
our lives.
The
second set of four meetings will focus on mindfulness.
This includes awareness of thoughts that pass through us,
as well as awareness of sights, sounds and feelings outside
and within us. We will practice how to let go of judging these
thoughts and stimuli. Mindfulness helps our mind feel free,
which gives us more power in our lives.
The
last set of four meetings will focus on connection
with our higher-selves. This includes creating a
relationship with the part of ourselves that oversees our
lives and accepts us unconditionally. Communication with our
high-selves gives us the information we need to understand
our lives and helps us remember how powerful we truly are.
Do
I need to attend every class?
Participants can come to 1 – 4 sessions per set of four
classes. I know our lives are busy so I want to provide you
a stress-free space to enhance your meditation practice. Come
when you can and join at anytime. I look forward to seeing
you whenever you can make it. You might decide to commit to
joining every week. I support this as well.
Cost
The instruction is given on a donation basis. If you like,
donate what you might pay for a yoga class.
Time,
Dates and Location
We will meet every Monday evening at 7 pm for at least an
hour, beginning Sepember 21 for 12 weeks. There will be an intro class on September 14. This is not required but will be helpful. We will meet in West
Asheville, a couple miles up New Leicester HWY. Please email
or call for directions. sarah@sarahwood.com

Who
will be leading this circle?
My name is Sarah Wood Vallely. I have been teaching meditation
for eight years. I was trained in Los Angeles where I worked
closely with a teacher for four years. I specialize in teaching
meditation to children and have a book published on the subject.
Because my expertise is working with children, my classes
for adults are perfect for new meditators and those who feel
they “can’t meditate.” I make it EASY!
Feel
free to browse my website to learn more about me or contact
me by email or phone.
